Padme Naberrie sighed as she watched Leia play with Sabe. She glanced around the park. Though it seemed almost empty, it was very relaxing - a nice change of pace. Since Anakin had turned and become a servant of Palpitine, she had been on the run from the Empire. There was even a warrant for her arrest - dead or alive but preferably dead. A cold chill ran down her spine as she gazed at little Leia.

Barely a year old and already Padme knew was going to be strong and stubborn like she was. Sabe turned her head, glancing at her friend.

"Is something wrong, Padme?"

She stood up, smiling at little Leia. "I need to take a walk. Will you watch Leia?"

Sabe smiled all right, though she strongly believed Padme should remain with her incase there was an attack.

Padme wandered out of the park, passing the gardens, following where ever her feet would take her. How so much had changed in such a small time. Not too long ago, everything was perfect, well almost anyway. She had Anakin but he easily slipped through her fingers before she even had him. And Obi-Wan, he knew his apprentice was slipping away but didn't acknowledge it. Anakin had become his son and he would not lose him, but they both did.

But through it all, no matter what happened, Obi-Wan had always been there for her. When he told her she was pregnant with Anakin's children, she almost killed herself because she didn't want any reminders of him but he convinced her it was wrong and that her children would one day save them from this "horrible Hell of a Galaxy" as he called it.

Padme prayed he would be right. But during that time, something happened between them. She had come to depend on him for her survival, as she was sure he depended on her. Aside from that, they grew closer. The more time they spent together, the more realized what that feeling was.

Love. Yes, she loved him. And it scared her.

She loved before and it ended badly, very badly. If she allowed herself to give into that love, would it hurt again like it did before? Despite what she had believed about love, she still questioned if it was right. Obi-Wan was Anakin's teacher and friend, and she was married to Anakin. He gave her children, a boy and a girl - they were the jewels of her eyes. But was it right to give into this feeling? Should she move on and forget Ani?

Everything was really confusing. She didn't know what to think. Padme nodded her head, staring at Alderaan's blue sky. "Never knew I could feel like this. It's like I've never seen the sky before. Want to vanish inside your kiss. Every day I'm loving you more and more."

Padme huffed, sitting down on the ground, hiding her head in her knees. She was lost in thought, she didn't even notice a shadow tower over her small form.

"Padme?"

She nodded, "Go away, Sabe."

He laughed, causing her to look up. It was he. But how did he know where to find her? Padme wiped away the tears from her eyes, standing up from the ground, facing him. "I felt your worry, Padme. Is something wrong?"

She looked away briefly before looking back at him. So sweet and understanding. It wasn't fair. Would it hurt again like it did before? Would he hurt her? If he did, she didn't think she'd be able to recover. Her heart had already suffered enough. "Um, Leia still with Sabe?" she asked, avoiding the subject.

"Yes, she is." He whispered, standing closer to her. "Padme, what's wrong. I know something is troubling you; I felt it. Tell me."

Padme nodded, "If only - if only..."

"If only what, Padme?"

"If only...Listen to my heart can you hear it sing?" she whispered. "Come back to me and forgive everything."

She paused briefly, sucking in her gut. "Seasons may change, winter to spring; But I love you till the end of time." The next words barely escaped her mouth but she managed, "Come what may, come what may, come what may - I will love you until my dying day."

Obi-Wan smiled, taking her hands in his. "Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place; suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace; suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste. It all revolves around you."

"And there's no mountain too high; No river too wide, sing out this song and I'll be there by your side. Storm clouds may gather and stars may collide - But I love you until the end of time." they sang.

"Oh Come What May; Come What May - I will love you until my dying day. Oh Come What May. Come What May." Padme sang, staring up at the blue skies. Obi-Wan smiled, humming the tune to himself.

She turned back to Obi-Wan, hugging him, tears in her eyes. If nothing else, she couldn't lose him and in the end, he couldn't lose her. "No matter what happens, I will always be there for you, Padme. Always."

"I know, Obi-Wan. I know." She whispered, "No river too wide, sing out this song and I'll be there by your side. Storm clouds may gather and stars may collide - But I love you until the end of time."

He bent his head down, kissing her softly. How he wanted this for so long; how they both wanted this but even though it felt right, it could never be anything but a dream. "Padme," he whispered, "You have to let go - the children, it's time."

"Where will they go?"

"Luke will go to Anakin's stepbrother and his wife." Obi-Wan stated, holding her hand. He nodded, "I promise I will watcher over him even if from afar."

She smiled lightly, "You were my guardian angel for a time, Obi-Wan." Padme kissed his hands, tears still in her eyes, "Please, take care of them for me."

He raised a hand, stroking her brown hair. "Come What May, Padme. Come What May."

"And Leia?" she questioned, hopeful she would be able to keep her at least.

"Still stay with you and Sabe, but she will be raised by Bail Organa." He mused, staring at her.

Padme glanced back at the Garden. Sabe was still with Leia. The little girl looked so happy and content. Smiling and laughing- not a care in the world and so innocent. She turned back to Obi-Wan, biting her lip. "Obi-Wan, there's something I have to tell you before I never get the chance to say to you again... I ---."

"I know, Padme. I know."

She nodded no, "Obi-Wan, I...."

He nodded, silencing her with a kiss. "You don't have to say anything. I know."

Padme frowned, her defiance showing. "Yes, I do."

"No, you don't." He concluded.

She sighed, her head falling on his shoulder. "Oh Come What May; Come What May - I will love you until my dying day. Oh Come What May."
